About
Bio

I’m Matt, a Bath based web designer and Webflow developer who likes working with businesses where trust really matters. Over the years I’ve found myself drawn to professional services, finance, architecture, sustainability and other expert led fields, where a website has to do more than just look good. It needs to feel credible, explain complex work clearly and give people confidence that they are in safe hands.
My work sits somewhere between design, content and strategy. I enjoy helping teams untangle what they do, turn that into clear structures and then build Webflow sites that are calm, considered and easy to manage. I prefer long term partnerships over quick wins and I care a lot about getting things right the first time, so your site can quietly support tenders, pitches and long sales cycles rather than needing constant rescue jobs.
Experience
Proctor + Stevenson
I started my career at Proctor + Stevenson, a B2B Webflow Enterprise marketing agency in Bristol. Working with international clients there taught me how powerful a well structured website can be for complex businesses, and how important it is to align design with sales, content and wider marketing. I was involved in everything from UX and wireframes through to development and handover, which gave me a solid grounding in digital design and the realities of client work.
That experience also shaped the way I now approach projects. I learnt how to listen to different stakeholders, ask the right questions and push for clarity, rather than just making things look polished on the surface.
Forage Studio
At Forage Studio I moved closer to the kind of clients I now specialise in, working on branding and websites for architects, construction firms and other design led practices. The projects were often detail heavy and process focused, which suited me. I spent a lot of time making sure the design work carried the right level of professionalism while still feeling human.
I also deepened my Webflow expertise here, taking responsibility for turning thoughtful design into reliable builds. That meant creating flexible layouts, tidy CMS structures and simple editing experiences so teams could keep things updated without worrying about breaking anything.
Freelancing
Alongside studio work I began taking on freelance projects, then eventually moved into freelancing full time. That gave me the freedom to focus on the type of work I enjoy most: thoughtful Webflow projects for B2B and high-trust organisations.
These days I split my time between new builds, redesigns and ongoing support, often working in partnership with agencies and in-house teams. Sometimes I lead the Webflow side from structure through to launch. Other times I’m brought in to build from existing designs and make sure the finished site is solid, tidy and easy to maintain. Either way, the goal stays the same: a website that feels calm, trustworthy and genuinely useful.
